My Knitmas parcel arrived last Friday. Sadly, I was at work and couldn’t collect it until yesterday evening 😦 It was a long weekend, thinking of the possible goodies that were waiting for me!
But it was worth the wait. I dashed to the parcel office after work yesterday, and collected it.
I took a peek:
It was stuffed to the gills! Apologies for the shadow of my scruffy hairdo in the photo! I saw a card peeking out:
I instantly knew who it was from. The lovely E. from Playing With Fibre! How did I know? Well, she’s a very talented artist, and she drew me a picture before with sheep in it. Now I was really excited!
I delved in. It was all bundled up in a gorgeous hand sewn project bag! I *love* project bags:
But here’s the best bit. A veritable bounty of goodies!:
OMG, where do I start? There’s two hand sewn project bags, one of which I’m using already. A super squishy cowl knit with Malabrigo Lace (soooo soft), hand made gingerbread cookies that were super sweet and delicious, but now all gone, some uber luscious Butlers hand made chocolates, of which there’s only 1 left, a tube of gorgeous L’Occitane hand cream, a skein of Cherry Tree Hill supersock yarn in Ginger Snap and last but most definitely most, 133 metres of the most divine Bluefaced Leicester yarn, hand spun by E herself!
I feel well and truly spoiled, thank you so much E! Best knitmas ever.
I started on a new project last night, a Hello Kitty hat for Alice. It’s a kit I bought ages ago from Springwools.
So far it’s flying along. I apologise for the crappy photo. Winter sucks for taking photos. :
This hat requires the face to be sewn on, so I reserve the right to amend the title from Hello Kitty Hat to Accident Kitty Hat, depending on the results.
